Yesterday marked day ONE of something I always wanted to try but was far too intimated…or pregnant I’m starting the 21 day Ultimate Reset today and I’m pretty pumped! And yes, a little scared too!
Beachbody created this amazing program as a way to cleanse and heal the body. It’s all about re-setting digestion, increasing energy, getting rid of unhealthy food habits, getting rid of inflammation, and improving mood! It’s not a crazy diet where I can only drink juice every day or something, and it’s not a starvation diet, but a reset that focuses on whole foods and powerful supplements. I really wanted to go for it right after I had Eliza, but I was far too nervous about losing my milk supply, since I’m exclusively breastfeeding. But then I saw the results from two of my upline coaches who are both nursing a baby, and that was the inspiration I needed to go for it!
I’m most excited about getting rid of my food habits/associations. You know, that evening snack that I totally don’t need but turn to for comfort after a long day, and the constant craving I have for chocolate. I also deal with pretty nasty, uncomfortable bloating, and I’m looking forward to getting to the bottom of that through the supplements and elimination meal plan of this reset. I’d be ok with shedding the last of my pregnancy weight, but that’s not a priority in doing this reset.
Since I’m nursing, I will be following the portion sizes for men, drinking a ton of water, and not using the “detox” supplement. The plan includes a TON of food (seriously my lunch today was so giant, I was a little embarrassed for my kids to see how much I was eating! ), so there shouldn’t be an issue with supply there. But I’ll be paying close attention to Eliza in case she seems extra hungry, and then I’ll add more foods back in!
